EST. 2025VOLKAIRE™ is the studio practice of J. Yoshida Davison. Paintings, ceramics and objects, made and photographed in New York. Most of the works were started in Los Angeles and finished here.
Jeremy Yoshida Davison is a second-generation artist, half Japanese, half British and Dutch, from a family of artisans in Japan. His mother, a successful commercial illustrator, ran her own art studio in Osaka for many years. Montreal shaped his eye, and the work that followed began as street art in San Diego before maturing over the next 12 years in Los Angeles.
TEXTURE is five colors worked into one surface. SMUGGLER is one record, kept in found paper. Every work is numbered and certified.
